Summary At PwC, our people in deals focus on providing strategic advice and support to clients in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring. They help clients navigate transactions and maximize value in their business deals. As a Valuations Financial Instruments, Director, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high-quality client service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Provide valuation of financial instruments such as debentures with embedded derivatives, options, structure products, contingent considerations, management equity plans, commodity contracts, private credits, venture capitals.Lead Valuations teams, coaching and supporting team development and sharing technical knowledge across the national and global PwC network.Completed Master of Mathematical Finance (or equivalent) and a strong academic background in a quantitative or finance discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Financial Engineering, or other relevant postgraduate degrees).Successful completion of CFA, FRM, or PRM designation is an asset.Experience in valuations, leveraged finance, banking, risk management.Have an in-depth understanding of mathematical models used for pricing securities, deep knowledge of private investments and capital markets.Strong commitment to identifying and addressing client needs and building, maintaining, and utilizing client networks and community involvement.Experienced at preparing and/or coordinating written and verbal materials.Considerable experience as a team leader: supervising diverse teams to create an atmosphere of trust,



seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation and coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback.Knowledge and experience in software and platforms such as Capital IQ, Bloomberg, AtRisk, Crystal Ball, and FINCAD is considered an asset.The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres.
