Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Site Superintendent with a strong background in ICI construction to oversee projects from initial site mobilization through completion, occupancy, and final turnover.

The ideal candidate will have approximately 10–15 years of construction experience, including several years independently managing ICI projects as the lead Superintendent. This individual must have a strong hands-on construction background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage all aspects of day-to-day site operations while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Independently oversee all in office construction activities from project commencement through completion, occupancy, and turnover.

- Lead and coordinate subcontractors, trades, suppliers, and site personnel.

- Develop and manage construction schedules, sequencing, lookahead schedules, and daily site activities.

- Ensure projects are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, budgets, and established timelines.

- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.

- Manage deficiencies, inspections, commissioning, and final project closeout.

- Maintain effective communication with Project Managers, consultants, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.

- Identify and resolve on-site issues, proactively addressing delays, conflicts, and construction challenges.

- Maintain accurate site documentation using construction management software.





- Enforce health and safety standards and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

- Provide hands-on leadership and technical guidance to site teams and subcontractors.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Approximately 10–15 years of total construction experience, with several years as a Lead Site Superintendent.

- Proven experience independently managing ICI construction projects.

- Experience with commercial, institutional, industrial, or other relevant ICI project types.

- Demonstrated ability to manage projects from ground-up or major construction stages through finishing, occupancy, and turnover.

- Strong hands-on construction knowledge, including carpentry, framing, finishing, and general construction methods.

- Extensive experience in trade coordination, construction sequencing, scheduling, inspections, deficiencies, and site operations.

- Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Autodesk Build/ACC, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.

- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- Relevant certifications such as Gold Seal Certification (GSC) are considered an asset.
