Lead fire suppression, prevention, and emergency management for the City of St. Thomas as Fire Chief. This full time role provides strategic department oversight. Reporting to the City Manager, the Fire Chief oversees operations and serves on the Corporate Senior Leadership Team. The mandate spans communications, training, public education, and emergency management. Leadership also covers service planning, risk assessment, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities: Lead department operations, service planning, and community risk assessment Develop strategies, policies, service plans, and budgets Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, codes, and standards Advise Council, administration, stakeholders,



and partner agencies Manage personnel, recruitment, succession planning, and development Requirements: Accredited degree in fire protection or related discipline Required Ontario Fire College or equivalent officer diploma Emergency management, investigator, and incident commander credentials At least 10 years of managerial experience Valid Ontario Class G licence and satisfactory Police Record Check Apply strategic leadership, emergency management, and fire service administration expertise as St. Thomas’s Fire Chief.
