Build MATS’s secure IT foundation as its first dedicated IT Security Engineer, focusing on identity, endpoints, and distributed operations.This founding role owns corporate IT and security for a research organization operating across London, Berkeley, and remote collaborators. You will configure systems, automate workflows, and establish controls supporting staff, fellows, vendors, and sensitive research. The work spans endpoint security, identity management, communications, compliance, and incident response.Key Responsibilities:

Deploy MDM and EDR across a hybrid two-country fleetOwn identity lifecycles, SSO, least privilege, and hardware-key MFAImplement email security, phishing protection, and collaboration governanceLead audits, vendor reviews, privacy,
