Innfocus Photography specializes in professional hotel photography for the hospitality industry. Global hotel brands, independent boutique properties, and management groups trust us to deliver high-quality visuals that meet brand standards while showcasing each property’s unique character. With a strong emphasis on consistency, efficiency, and collaboration, Innfocus helps clients strengthen their marketing and guest experience through impactful imagery.
Innfocus is a preferred photography partner for Hilton and is approved for IHG and Hyatt, reflecting our commitment to quality, professionalism, and deep knowledge of hospitality brand requirements. Role DescriptionWe’re seeking an experienced commercial architectural photographer for an ongoing freelance working relationship. Projects typically involve two to three days on-site, plus travel as needed.
Assignments include photographing guest rooms, public spaces, meeting facilities, dining areas, amenities, and exteriors at newly built or renovated hotels. Our operations and creative team coordinates project logistics, provides shot lists and brand guidelines, and handles final editing. The photographer leads the shoot on-site and delivers selection proofs and complete, organized RAW files through the Innfocus workflow.
This role requires demonstrated commercial architectural experience. We provide brand-specific guidance and workflow onboarding, but applicants must already have the technical skills to photograph commercial architecture professionally. We’re looking for a photographer with capacity for regular assignments and an interest in building a long-term working relationship.
For context, a comparable role on our team involved approximately 40 to 50 days of photography work per year in 2025 and 2026. Actual assignments depend on project demand, availability, fit, and how work is distributed across the team.
Photograph hotel interiors and exteriors according to project shot lists and brand standards.
Capture aerial exterior images by drone where included in the project scope, in compliance with local aviation regulations. Lead in office coordination, manage the shooting schedule, and communicate clearly with hotel staff and management. Work respectfully around hotel operations and guests.
Identify and correct presentation details before capture, including bedding, furniture placement, reflections, and distracting objects. Join pre-shoot calls and review all project materials before arriving on-site. Respond professionally to feedback and apply creative direction consistently.
Proven commercial architectural photography experience, supported by a relevant portfolio. Strong understanding of architectural composition, perspective, lighting, and colour accuracy. Proficiency with bracketed exposures and supplemental flash for interior and exterior photography.
Current drone pilot certification appropriate to the assignment location. Confident on-site leadership and the ability to work independently. Excellent communication and customer-service skills, with a hospitality-focused approach.
Availability for multi-day weekday shoots and associated travel, primarily within Ontario and Quebec, with possible assignments in other provinces.
Experience photographing hotels, whether branded or independent.
Experience photographing Airbnb properties or other short-term rentals. Familiarity with hotel brand photography standards. Full-frame DSLR or mirrorless camera, minimum 30 megapixels. Flash and lighting equipment suitable for architectural photography. CamRanger and a compatible device for reviewing images on-site. Drone capable of high-resolution aerial stills.
Compensation and Travel Freelance day rate based on experience and project scope, agreed upon before booking. Approved travel expenses covered according to the Innfocus travel policy. Meal and travel-day allowances outlined for each assignment. #
