Overview The French Immersion Teacher supports students as they learn subject matter and develop French language skills in an engaging, inclusive classroom. The role combines clear instruction, thoughtful preparation, and responsive support to help children participate and progress.

Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver French immersion lessons, incorporating math and age-appropriate learning activities.
- Guide classroom routines, explain concepts clearly, and adapt instruction to students’ learning needs, including through special education strategies where appropriate.
- Assess student work, proofread learning materials, and provide tutoring or additional guidance to reinforce understanding.
- Communicate learning progress and classroom needs with colleagues and families, using an LMS to share resources and updates.

Experience Required: Practical teaching, communication, and classroom skills to explain lessons, support children, assess learning, and maintain an inclusive workplace. Preferred: Early childhood education, experience working with children, classroom experience, and familiarity with math instruction, tutoring, proofreading, LMS tools, or special education support.
