- Develop APIs and integrations that connect Rocscience applications and systems.
- Translate technical requirements into practical, scalable software solutions.
- Write clean,

maintainable, well-tested code.
- Troubleshoot and improve new and existing applications.
- Contribute to technical design decisions and evaluate new technologies and development approaches.
- Collaborate with Software Development, Product, Engineering, and other technical teams.

What You’ll Bring

- A university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong software development experience, including modern front-end and back-end web technologies.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills in C# and .NET,
- Strong JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 skills, including working directly with the DOM and with libraries such as jQuery and Bootstrap.
- Experience developing APIs, working with relational databases, and writing automated tests.
- Strong understanding of software development practices, including version control, testing, debugging, and code review.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to quality and detail.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.

Highly Regarded

Experience with any of the following would be an asset:

- C#, ASP.NET Core (Razor Pages or MVC), and domain-driven design.
- Entity Framework Core,

including migrations and query performance tuning, as well as SQL Server and relational databases.
- JavaScript, data-heavy web user interfaces, editable grid and spreadsheet components, generating PDF and Excel reports.
- Developing scientific, engineering, or geotechnical software, or working with industry data formats.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first year, you’ll have developed a strong understanding of Rocscience’s applications and the engineering problems our software solves. You’ll be contributing production-quality code, taking ownership of development work, and helping us continually improve our architecture, testing, and development practices.

What We Offer

- The opportunity to build industry-leading engineering software used around the world.
- Interesting technical challenges involving web development and 2D and 3D visualization.
- Friendly, collaborative colleagues who genuinely enjoy working together.
- A brand-new office in downtown Toronto, steps from King subway station.
- A hybrid schedule: Monday through Thursday in the office and Fridays working from home.
- Base salary of $90,000–$105,000, plus annual bonus, 3 weeks of vacation, and health perks.
