Apex Pharmacy is an Independent Long-Term Care Pharmacy located on the Menno Place campus in Abbotsford. We service all of the Menno Place campus care homes as well as the assisted living buildings. In addition, we service long term care homes throughout the Valley and in Surrey.

We specialize working with the elderly, helping them find the medications and remedies they need in a timely and efficient manner. Pharmacist Duties and Responsibilities:

This position is a clinical pharmacy position specifically intended to oversee our assisted living patients as well as our daily dispense patients. With business increasing the overseeing pharmacist must be willing to perform medication reviews, provide minor ailment consultations, give injections, and give presentation to the homes about the services that we offer and education for the nurses.

Responsibilities:

- Overseeing the Daily Dispense patients, and assisted living patients including performing medication reviews,



clinically assessing current prescriptions, minor ailment consultations and patient counselling.
- Creating and giving presentations to assisted living homes about pharmacies services that we offer such as blister packs, daily dispense, and vaccinations.
- Providing education via presentations and e-newsletter to nurses at the LTC homes serviced
- Participating in triaging new orders, clinical reviews, dispensing of prescriptions, checking new orders, blister packs, and re-orders in the dispensary.
- Requirement to participate in an on-call rotation.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Pharmacy OR Doctor of Pharmacy required.
- Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the British Columbia College of Pharmacists.
- Experience in Long-Term Care pharmacy is an asset but not required.
- Experience with Kroll is an asset.

- Injection Certification

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $54.00-$56.00 per hour
