Grocery Supervisor (Part-Time)

About the Position

Grocery Checkout is looking for a dependable, hardworking and organized individual to join our Kingston store as a Grocery Supervisor.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in keeping a grocery store well-stocked, organized and running smoothly. The ideal candidate is someone who notices what needs to be done, takes initiative and enjoys working as part of a team.

This is a hands-on position combining stocking, merchandising, inventory organization, customer service and providing guidance to our team of student employees.

Previous supervisory experience is not required. We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, good organizational skills and the potential to grow into a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

- Keep grocery shelves stocked, organized, faced and well-presented.
- Identify low-stock and out-of-stock products and communicate replenishment needs.
- Rotate stock, monitor best-before dates and help minimize product waste.
- Receive, organize and put away deliveries.
- Maintain an organized stockroom and efficient product storage.
- Work alongside student employees, help prioritize tasks and provide direction when needed.
- Ensure daily store tasks and cleaning standards are completed.




- Provide friendly customer service and operate the cash register during busy periods or when additional cashier support is needed.
- Take initiative to identify and resolve day-to-day operational issues.
- Help oversee store operations during assigned shifts, including closing responsibilities.

What We're Looking For

- Previous grocery store experience is strongly preferred, particularly in stocking, merchandising or inventory management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A dependable, hardworking individual who takes initiative.
- Someone who can work independently and recognize what needs to be done without constant direction.
- A positive, approachable attitude and the ability to work well with student employees.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable learning new technology and store systems.
- Physically able to perform regular grocery stocking and merchandising duties.

Previous supervisory experience is an asset but is not required.
