Finning is growing - and so are the opportunities! We are hiring Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics (Red Seal) to join our team at Mt. Milligan Mine on a 14 x 14 Continuous Shift rotation. This role offers an opportunity to work on ultra-class Caterpillar mining equipment for the biggest players in the industry.

- Wage: $55.28 - $61.42 (base rate + regional wage allowance)

:

- Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar equipment
- Field diagnosis and running repairs of CAT Equipment in an active mine environment
- Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
- Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes) and maintaining explicit customer communication
- Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team
- Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required

Qualifications:

- Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic/(HET) Certification
- Valid driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract (5 Yr)
- 10+ Years Off Road Mechanical Experience Recommended
- Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal,



and communication skills with a high attention to detail
- Previous repair experience on the Caterpillar mining and general line product lines would be considered an asset

Important Detail:

- This position is located out of our Mt Milligan mine site on a 14x14 continuous shift rotation
- A condition of employment includes the ability to obtain Customer Site Access (includes Drug & Alcohol testing, criminal background check and Fitness assessment) and the ability to wear a respirator
- Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement
- Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement
- Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
