Home Support Worker 44101 provides practical, respectful assistance to people in their homes, supporting daily routines, comfort, and independence. The role combines personal care with household tasks and attentive, person-centred support.

Responsibilities

- Administer bedside and personal care
- Administer medications
- Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
- Feed or assist in feeding
- Launder clothing and household linens
- Mend clothing and linens
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Provide companionship
- Provide personal care
- Shop for food and household supplies
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Cook

Qualifications Required: Practical caregiving skills, clear communication, sound judgement, and the ability to follow care instructions while supporting personal needs, meal preparation, cleaning, and protected movement. Preferred: Completion of Health Care Aide, completion of a training program in care of the elderly, care of persons with disabilities, convalescent care or in a related field may be prefered.

Pay: $24.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
