Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House in Guelph is looking for a friendly, energetic, and reliable Hostess to join our Front of House team!

We are a busy breakfast and lunch restaurant looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys interacting with guests, and can create a welcoming dining experience.

Weekend availability is a must!

Key Responsibilities

- Warmly greet and welcome guests as they enter the restaurant.
- Manage the waitlist and seating arrangements efficiently, especially during busy weekend rushes.
- Seat guests promptly while maintaining proper table rotation and server sections.
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries professionally.
- Assist with takeout orders, packaging, and ensuring order accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the entrance, waiting area, menus, and hostess station.
- Assist servers with clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables when needed.
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
- Handle guest concerns politely and professionally.
- Support the team with other Front of House duties as required.

Qualifications & Requirements




- Previous restaurant or customer service experience is an asset but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, positive attitude with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm during busy periods.
- Strong teamwork and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to assist wherever needed.
- Must be available Saturdays, Sundays, and statutory holidays.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekday shifts is an asset.
