*Note this position requires working overnight shifts which are 10PM-8AM. This position averages 35 hours a week with 3 or 4 days off every week. (Training shifts for the first couple weeks may vary and will include hours outside of the normally scheduled shifts)

Our ideal candidate is happy and cheerful and who thrives in the late overnight hours. As night auditors are the only employees working in the hotel overnight candidates must be mature and responsible. This role provides an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys and appreciates having a good amount of time off every week while working a compressed schedule.

The position is customer service focused with an attention to ensuring our numbers balance. You must have outstanding listening skills, be able to come up with creative solutions for different situations, and be able to be empathise. Quick thinkers and problem solvers do well in this role.

Our Guest Service team are known for their excellent customer service which makes us one of the top hotels in Nanaimo. Our hotel Front Desk wage starts between $21.00 and $22.00 per hour depending on experience. Our night audit team also earns a $1.50 per hour bonus for working overnight shifts ($22.50 to $23.50 per hour effective wage depending on experience).

The expected schedule for this position is Wednesday, Thursday, Friday night shifts and every second Saturday night. Hours and days will vary during training and the hotel requires some scheduling flexibility over the Christmas/New Year's break as well as situations where one night auditor is unavailable or on holidays.
