Eco DC Solutions

We are seeking a Senior HRSG Engineer to who specializes in design, analysis, and execution of heavy industrial structures, complex foundations, and site infrastructure tailored for Easy Cycle and Combined Cycle Power Plants

Role, Responsibilities and Objectives The Senior HRSG Engineer is responsible leading the technical design, integration, and optimization of Heat Recovery Steam Generators within our Gas Turbine Combined Cycle Power Plants. In this role, you will serve as the primary subject matter expert responsible for matching HRSG thermal and mechanical designs with gas turbine exhaust profiles. You will focus on maximizing overall plant efficiency, managing thermal transients from rapid cycling, and ensuring seamless integration with the steam turbine cycle.

Primary Responsibilities

- Optimize the thermodynamic matching of the HRSG with advanced heavy-duty gas turbines (e.g., F, H, or J-class fleets). Maximize overall GTCC plant efficiency across multi-pressure (triple-pressure reheat) cycles.

- Design and evaluate pressure-retaining components to withstand severe thermal fatigue, creep, and rapid exhaust temperature ramps associated with frequent startup/shutdown cycles and fast-ramping requirements.
- Oversee the design and performance of integrated Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and CO catalyst systems. Ensure optimal duct burner design and flow distribution within the gas turbine exhaust duct.
- Lead the review of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) specifications, vendor proposals, and technical contract compliance for HRSG island equipment.
- Provide expert engineering support during plant commissioning, steam blows, and performance testing. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for any field operational issues or thermal performance shortfalls.
- Ensure all system designs strictly adhere to ASME Section I (Power Boilers), ASME B31.1 (Power Piping), and relevant environmental regulations.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to Junior Engineers.

Technical Authority The Senior HRSG Engineer serves as the technical authority for:

- Technical representative for Eco DC Solutions on Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs).
- Sizing and Selection of HRSG supplier(s).
- Lead any Root Cause Analysis (RCAs) for issues that happen at site around the HRSG.

What You Bring to the Organization

- Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with heavy focus on industrial/structural dynamics
- 8 to 15+ years of Heat Recovery Steam Generation (HRSG) Engineering and technical leadership.
- Deep understanding of high-temperature metallurgy, thermal-stress fatigue, and flow-accelerated corrosion (FAC) mitigation.
- Proven experience with multi-pressure drum-type or once-through (OTSG) HRSG designs integrated with large gas turbines.
- Proficiency in thermal cycle simulation software (e.g., GT PRO / Thermoflow , GateCycle, or equivalent) and finite element analysis (FEA) reviews.

Success Measures Within the first 12 months:

- Build strong working relationships with all Engineering disciplines at Eco DC Solutions.
- Drive structural, mechanical, and thermal design reviews.
- Package and issue high-quality fabrication drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and operational manuals on schedule.
- Act as the lead technical authority during factory fabrication or site installation, resolving manufacturing issues or field deviations swiftly.
- Create and complete a standard technical specification for Heat Recovery Steam Generators (Both Drum Type and Once Through Type).
- Create relationships and build technical trust with HRSG Suppliers
