KHS Landscape Professionals is looking for a knowledgeable, dependable, and motivated Landscape Maintenance Crew Lead / Lead Hand to join our team for the 2027 season.

We're starting our recruitment early because we're focused on finding the right person, not simply filling a position.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Landscape Maintenance Crew Lead, you'll work hands-on alongside your crew, delivering high-quality landscape maintenance services to residential and commercial properties throughout Kelowna, Lake Country, and surrounding areas.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading, supporting, and motivating a small landscape maintenance crew.
- Planning and organizing daily tasks to ensure efficient, high-quality work.
- Performing and overseeing pruning, plant care, garden bed maintenance, weeding, and seasonal cleanups.
- Identifying trees, shrubs, perennials, and ornamental plants and understanding their seasonal care requirements.
- Recognizing common plant health issues and recommending appropriate care.
- Training and mentoring crew members in proper landscape maintenance techniques.
- Communicating professionally and positively with clients, management, and fellow team members.
- Ensuring company vehicles, equipment, and client properties are treated with care.
- Maintaining a safe, organized, and productive work environment.





What We're Looking For Plant knowledge and people skills are at the heart of this role.

Essential qualifications:

- Professional experience in landscape maintenance, horticulture, or a related field.
- Good working knowledge of trees, shrubs, perennials, and ornamental plants.
- Understanding of proper pruning techniques and seasonal plant care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize work, solve problems, and take initiative.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work.

An advantage, but not essential:

- Previous experience leading or supervising a landscape maintenance crew.
- Formal horticultural education or certification.
- Experience training or mentoring team members.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and basic troubleshooting.
