The Role

This is a hands-on position centred on specialty coffee and elevated guest experiences. Most shifts will be spent behind the bar, preparing exceptional drinks and managing daily café service. You will also bring AYOKA’s curated experiences to life through beverage and table service for high teas, workshops, private bookings, and special events.

Core Responsibilities

- Daily Coffee & Bar Service (Primary): Dial in espresso, whisk ceremonial matcha, pour latte art, and craft seasonal beverages to exacting standards. Handle daily opening and closing duties, station preparation, and bar cleanliness.
- Experiential Hospitality & Events: Set up service stations, style tables, and deliver thoughtful food and beverage service for public workshops, high tea seatings, and private bookings.
- Menu & Recipe Support: Assist with testing seasonal drinks, developing beverage ideas,



and preparing curated pairings for high teas and special events.
- Guest Care: Deliver warm, attentive hospitality that reflects AYOKA’s thoughtful approach to service and attention to detail.

What You Bring
- Hands-on specialty barista experience, including espresso dial-in, drink consistency, and bar workflow.
- Experience in upscale hospitality, luxury catering, fine dining, or formal afternoon tea service.
- A strong eye for aesthetics, table presentation, and guest service etiquette.
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach and the ability to move comfortably between café operations and event service.
- Availability for daytime café shifts, with flexibility for scheduled evening and weekend events.
