Wage: $36–$42/hour, depending on experience

Bonus: Performance-Based Year-End Bonus

Location: Winnipeg and surrounding communities

Position: Full-Time Seasonal (April–November)

Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday

About Us

Hickory Dickory Decks Winnipeg specializes in building high-quality custom decks and outdoor living spaces, including composite, PVC, and pressure-treated decks, railings, pergolas, and other outdoor structures.

We are looking for an experienced and dependable Lead Carpenter who can independently manage job sites, lead a small crew, and take pride in delivering quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage deck construction projects from start to finish.
- Lead and work alongside a small crew, organizing daily tasks and maintaining productivity.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Complete framing, decking, stairs, railings, and other outdoor structures.
- Ensure work meets building codes and company quality standards.
- Manage materials, minimize waste, and maintain clean, safe job sites.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and material needs to the owner.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers.

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of carpentry or residential construction experience.
- Strong framing, layout, and finishing skills.
- Previous crew leadership or job site management experience.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems,



and make sound decisions.
- Deck-building and composite/PVC installation experience considered an asset.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Own basic hand tools and small power tools.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.

Compensation & Year-End Bonus
- $36–$42/hour, based on experience and ability.
- Performance-based year-end bonus for meeting established criteria.
- Approximately 40 hours per week during the construction season.
- Prospect for ongoing seasonal employment.

Bonus performance criteria include:

- Quality workmanship with minimal call backs.
- Completing projects efficiently and within reasonable timelines.
- Strong crew leadership and productivity.
- Dependable attendance and reliability.
- Customer satisfaction and responsible material management.

Bonus expectations will be clearly outlined at the beginning of employment.
