Position Overview

We are currently seeking a motivated and dependable Licensed Electrician or Electrical Apprentice to join our growing team.

We welcome applications from both experienced, licensed electricians and individuals currently enrolled in an electrical apprenticeship program who are looking to further develop their skills and gain valuable hands-on experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of electrical installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work in residential and commercial settings, with a particular focus on heating, HVAC, and related equipment.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced HVAC technicians, plumbers, gas fitters, and other skilled tradespeople on a wide range of projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and components in residential and commercial environments.
- Perform electrical installations and connections associated with heat pumps, furnaces, boilers, water heaters, air conditioning units, and other HVAC equipment.
- Install and service electrical panels, circuits, disconnects, wiring, switches, breakers, and related electrical components.




- Diagnose electrical faults, identify equipment malfunctions, and complete necessary repairs efficiently and safely.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and equipment specifications.
- Perform electrical testing and troubleshooting using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical controls, thermostats, motors, and other components associated with heating and cooling systems.
- Work collaboratively with HVAC technicians, plumbers, gas fitters, and other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and service activities as required.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
- Communicate professionally with customers, providing clear explanations of work being performed when required.
- Perform additional electrical installation, maintenance, and general support duties as needed.

Electrical apprentices will perform duties appropriate to their level of training and experience, under the supervision of a qualified journeyperson as required.

Qualifications and Experience

- Apprentices at all stages of their training are encouraged to apply.
- Experience performing residential, commercial, and/or industrial electrical work considered an asset.
- Previous experience working with heating equipment, heat pumps, HVAC systems, and electrical controls would be an asset but is not required.




- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation appropriate to experience level.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with electrical tools, testing equipment, and safe work practices.
- Ability to work independently when qualified, or collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to completing quality work.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physically capable of performing job-related duties, including lifting materials and equipment, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe and professional workplace.
