The Chance

We are seeking a caring, responsible, and dependable individual to join an established household as a Live-In Support Worker / Companion, providing support to an individual with a developmental disability.

This is a unique live-in opportunity for someone who enjoys a home-based environment and is interested in making a meaningful difference in another person's daily life.

Living Arrangements

- Private bedroom and bathroom.
- Shared use of the remaining areas of the home with the individual.

Responsibilities Duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Assisting with meal planning and preparation.
- Helping maintain a clean, organized, and comfortable home environment.
- Providing support with medical appointments, transportation as needed, and follow-up care.
- Assisting with personal hygiene and daily living activities as required.




- Encouraging independence, confidence, and healthy daily routines.

Requirements

- First Aid/CPR certification (must be obtained within three months of starting).
- Valid driver's licence.
- Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Willingness to complete all training required by the agency and maintain training requirements in good standing.
- Non-smoker.
- No pets.

Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with farm or acreage living would be considered an asset.
- Patient, compassionate, and understanding.
- Reliable, organized, and responsible.
- Previous experience supporting individuals with daily living needs would be an asset.
- A genuine interest in helping someone develop life skills and independence.
