5 years of maintenance & housekeeping experience and a strong background in contracted services and construction/repair quoting and improving outcomes.The ideal candidate will have hands on maintenance and housekeeping experience to support our commitment to safe, efficient, and responsive facility operations.The Facilities Director will supervise the provision of maintenance services by assigned maintenance employees of the home. They will be the primary Contact for all outsourced maintenance providers and be responsible for tracking all work in the CMMS. Will act as the direct contact to the Canadian Facilities SME group and provide support to Operations and Maintenance Accounts.

Comply with established home policies, practices, and standards regarding resident safety and Occupational Health & Safety.To adhere to Home and departmental policies and procedures.To appraise employees, report their effectivenessTo understand and respect the responsibilities of associates in the Home and to support them wherever possible in the achievement of their objectives.To supervise workers involved in maintenance and housekeepingTo assign maintenance personnel to specific jobs and spot-check work to ensure adherence to required standards of safety and building regulations.To ensure the continuity of the Management System.To maintain the departmental Quality Assurance program.To assist with the development and maintenance of a departmental orientation program and on-going educational programs for maintenance staff members.To participate in Home, Community and District committees as assigned.To complete monthly, annual, and other operational reports and submit these to the Client and District Managers.To Conduct Fire and Safety Drills as required by regulation.Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) or higher, such as a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Licensed Industrial Electrician authorized to practice in Ontario.IFMA Facilities Management Professional (FMP) or Certified Facility Manager (CFM) designation.Ability to engage respectfully with residents and families,



demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity to individual preferences and lifestyles.3-5 Years working in the maintenance department of an Acute Care or Long-Term Care or Congregate Living Facility.Experience in managing a housekeeping teamExperience in Purchasing Contracted services and quoting for construction and repair services.Familiarity with planning maintenance and activities to meet regulatory compliance in the management of a Canadian Facilities Maintenance ProgramFamiliarity with the Canadian Standards Association CodesPrevious Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management ProgramMust possess effective verbal and written communication skills to assist in employee orientation program, employee selection, employee performance appraisal, etc.We serve more than a dozen industries with pride and passion, building community, connection and careers all across the world.
