The role is based in either Calgary, Alberta or Ottawa, Ontario.Firmware SDK Manager - :Our client is hiring a manager for either its Calgary or Ottawa location to lead its Firmware SDK (Software Developer Kit) development team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in C++ and Azure DevOps development, with experience as a manager, team lead, or senior developer.The candidate is diligent, proactive, and has a reputation for taking an innovative approach when solving difficult problems.

and work with NPI to support volume manufacturingSupport and contribute to our client’s evolving end-to-end product development processes by applying relevant best practices to ensure consistent delivery of quality productsEnsure creation and maintenance of architecture and design documentationLead the SDK team in delivering their commitments for each development iteration in an Agile environment, defining relevant and useful metrics to measure progress and ensure timely releases of high-quality softwareSet a high standard for software development best practices such as design reviews and code reviews, and ensure the team adheres to established done criteria each sprintMentor a high-performance team that thrives on delivering high-quality and innovative solutions, ensuring continual improvement of the firmware team through regular coaching and goal settingFirmware SDK Manager - Mandatory Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related fieldMinimum 10 years of experience in a software development environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role or 5 years as a senior developer/architectProficiency in C/C++ programming languages and development toolsExperience architecting and delivering cross-platform, external APIsExperience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelinesStrong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skillsFirmware SDK Manager - Nice-to-Haves:Experience with C# and Node.JSKnowledge of USB HID device and ethernet protocols (desired)Experience developing on macOS, Linux, and embedded Linux systemsFirmware SDK Manager - Start Date:To be determined.Firmware SDK Manager - Location:Calgary, Alberta or Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
