This is an in-office position at our SE Calgary facility with eligibility to work from home one day per week, dependent on specific project deadlines and ad-hoc requirementsResponsibilities Include: Lead development and validation of custom robotic systemsCollaborate with electrical and software disciplines during developmentWork with suppliers and integrators to evaluate and integrate new technologyParticipate in scope of work meetings, and develop system requirements accordinglyLead design review meetings,



manage feedbackConduct root cause analysis of in-field issues and drive corrective actionsPerformmechanical design and drafting tasksProvide technical leadership to field operations as requiredSupport production technicians as requiredOccasional travel required for pilot project supportRequired Qualifications: BSc. in MechanicalEngineeringor related fieldProficiency in SolidWorks, or related CAD softwareExperience utilizing FEA software and interpreting resultsPrevious recent product development experience in robotics, automation or similar fieldSolid understanding of mechanical design/drafting principles, GD&T;, DFM & DFAPractical troubleshooting and root cause analysis experienceHands-on experience with basic fabrication, mechanical assembly, wire harness assemblyAbility to demonstrate a methodical and organized approach to continuous improvementStrong written and oral communication skillsExcellent attention to detailStrong time management skillsBeneficial Skills (Nice to Haves): Experience in design or manufacturing of electrical systemsExperience in change management, BOM management andcomponentsourcingProject management experienceKeen interest in drones, robotics, and unmanned systemsExpected Interview Stages: 45 minute virtual interview1 hour in-person interview (when possible)FulcrumAir offers a competitive wage and benefits, depending on an applicant’s skills and experience.
