MEDICAL TRANSPORT DRIVERS

Two (2) Permanent Full-Time

Edmonton, Alberta

Bigstone Medical Transport Ltd. is seeking Two (2) experienced, highly motivated, and dependable Medical Transport Drivers to join our talented team. This is a rewarding opportunity if you have an appreciation for First Nation culture, a desire for continuing professional development, and enjoy the support and collaboration from our multidisciplinary team and various other professionals and agencies.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Transport clients in the Edmonton Metro area with out-of-town driving

· Provide exceptional customer service to our clients

· Must follow all transportation safety rules and regulations

· Must clean vehicle daily, and report any problems with vehicle as necessary

· Must ensure vehicle is equipped with an emergency aide at all times

· Must take direction from clerks as to coordination of trip schedule

· Filling out and handing in daily log books, inspection reports and trip sheets

· Assisting clients and Elders in and out of vehicle safely and securely

· Assisting clients and Elders with wheelchairs, luggage, strollers, etc.

· Be willing to work various shifts as needed (days, evenings, graveyards, weekends)

· Must be willing to work the Athabasca Run with rotational shifts every two weeks

· Must be available on short notice

· Other duties as required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:





· Must have good verbal and written communication skills

· Must be organized and have positive time management skills

· Must be able to work independently; take initiative when necessary and be a team player

Education and Experience:

· High School Education

· MUST HAVE – Valid Class 1, 2 or 4 Driver’s license

· Able to speak and understand the Cree language is an asset

· Standard First Aid/CPR (current)
