Job Summary
Northern Aesthetics Institute is seeking an experienced Nurse Injector Trainer for in-person courses in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This course-by-course contract position is open to Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with at least three years of hands-on clinical experience administering Botox and dermal fillers.
We train licensed healthcare professionals in small cohorts of up to five students. Every student personally injects live models under supervision. This role suits a practising nurse injector who enjoys teaching and providing practical, constructive feedback.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver course instruction and practical training in Botox, dermal fillers and PRP, according to the assigned course and your demonstrated competence.
- Teach facial anatomy, patient assessment, treatment planning, product selection, injection techniques and complication recognition and management within your authorised scope of practice.
- Demonstrate procedures and supervise students during practical training with live models, following NAI’s clinical protocols and applicable supervision requirements.
- Assess trainee performance and provide transparent, constructive feedback to students and the NAI team.
- Deliver training within your authorised scope of practice and NAI’s clinical protocols, working with the Medical Director and designated prescribing clinician to support safe practical training.
- Review course materials and protocols before each training date.
- Ensure required training and model documentation is accurately completed and submitted promptly after each course.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Current, active registration in good standing as an RN or LPN with the applicable Manitoba nursing regulator, with no restrictions that prevent performance of the role.
- At least three years of hands-on clinical experience administering Botox and dermal fillers, with current competence in the procedures you will teach.
- Relevant medical aesthetics education and documented clinical training.
- Demonstrated knowledge of facial anatomy, aseptic technique, patient assessment and emergency and complication management.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain clinical reasoning and guide adult learners.
- Reliability and availability to attend scheduled in-person courses in Winnipeg.
Previous teaching, precepting or mentoring experience is preferred. PRP experience is an asset; trainers will only be assigned procedures for which they have demonstrated competence and appropriate authorisation.
Contract and Schedule
This is a course-by-course contract role, with training dates arranged according to NAI’s course calendar and agreed availability.
How to Apply
Please submit your résumé and a brief cover letter outlining your injecting experience, teaching or mentoring experience, treatment areas and availability.
