Provide oncology nursing care for complex patients at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre while applying chemotherapy and biotherapy expertise. Work within a multidisciplinary health care team. Reporting to the Manager of Oncology Nursing Services, this Registered Nurse delivers patient and family centred care.

The position requires medical nursing knowledge, oncology emergency assessment skills, and robust interprofessional communication. Care follows College of Nurses of Ontario, CANO, CCO, and hospital standards.

Key Responsibilities:



Provide quality nursing care to complex patient populations Use the Nursing Process for individualized care planning Recognize abnormal responses and take appropriate action Manage central venous lines and oncology assessments Collaborate with Registered Practical Nurses when patients become unstable Requirements: Current unrestricted College of Nurses of Ontario registration Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification deSouza Provincial Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Certification Recent medical nursing knowledge and complex-care experience Advanced oncology emergency assessment and intervention knowledge Apply oncology nursing, toxicity management, and patient-centred assessment skills to support exceptional care for every patient.
