Operations Lead – Installation & Business Operations

Nexhome | Full-Time | $60,000–$75,000

About Nexhome

Nexhome is a rapidly growing home-services company operating across heating and cooling, central and ductless heat pumps, water treatment, air quality, electrical upgrades, solar, battery storage, and whole-home electrification.

As we continue expanding our operations and entering new markets, we are looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Operations Lead to play a key role in shaping and overseeing our day-to-day business operations.

This is an opportunity for an emerging operations leader who wants more than a traditional management position. You will have meaningful ownership over installation operations, project execution, customer experience, financial administration, internal processes, and cross-departmental performance.

Working directly with company leadership, you will help establish operational standards, strengthen internal systems, improve business performance, and support Nexhome's continued growth.

We are looking for someone who combines leadership ability with strong business judgment, takes initiative, and understands how to turn operational challenges into opportunities for improvement.

Core Responsibilities

1. Strategic Operations & Project Management

- Oversee the company's installation operations and project execution across multiple markets, ensuring efficiency, accountability, and consistent service standards.
- Direct installation scheduling, technician coordination, project timelines, and resource allocation.
- Oversee equipment sourcing, procurement, supplier coordination, and project readiness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with technicians, subcontractors, suppliers, and external business partners.
- Identify operational inefficiencies, anticipate roadblocks, and implement solutions before they affect business performance.

2. Customer Experience & Business Retention

- Oversee customer experience throughout the sales-to-installation journey and post-installation process.
- Work closely with the Customer Experience Specialist to strengthen customer satisfaction, retention, and service delivery.
- Take ownership of escalated customer situations, complex complaints, and time-sensitive matters.
- Oversee post-installation follow-ups, customer feedback, and review generation initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen customer relationships, retain business, and generate additional revenue.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, communication, and accountability across all customer interactions.

3. Financial Operations & Commercial Administration

- Oversee customer payment collection, financing administration, deal submissions,

and funding processes.
- Ensure customer records, contracts, financing documentation, and project files are accurate and properly maintained.
- Monitor outstanding payments, funding requirements, and administrative obligations to minimize financial exposure.
- Work alongside the Sales Team Lead and sales department to ensure seamless coordination between sales, operations, and installation.
- Support revenue growth by identifying opportunities, improving administrative processes, and ensuring business commitments are fulfilled.

4. Risk Management & Operational Excellence

- Oversee the review of new and existing sales files to identify potential risks, documentation gaps, customer concerns, and compliance issues.
- Exercise sound judgment when handling urgent situations and protecting the company's operational and financial interests.
- Develop and continuously improve internal processes, installation workflows, reporting structures, and quality-control procedures.
- Establish accountability and ensure company policies and operational standards are consistently followed.
- Identify recurring challenges, address root causes, and implement long-term solutions rather than temporary fixes.

5. Leadership, Performance & Business Development

- Lead operational meetings, establish priorities, and coordinate execution across departments.
- Monitor departmental KPIs, operational performance, customer retention, and company targets.
- Prepare structured management reports, performance analyses, and business updates for senior leadership.
- Work closely with company leadership and departmental leads to improve productivity, accountability, and overall business performance.

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience in operations, project, service management, or a comparable leadership position.
- Demonstrated management, supervisory, or team leadership experience.
- Strong business judgment and the ability to independently manage complex operational situations.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to oversee multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Robust commercial awareness, problem-solving ability, and a results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to lead meetings and communicate with senior management.
- Highly tech-savvy,

with proficiency in CRMs, spreadsheets, digital reporting systems, and business management tools.
- Experience with KPIs, performance tracking, process development, and management reporting.
- Ability to take ownership, exercise discretion, and make decisions without requiring constant direction.
- A customer-focused mindset with an understanding of business retention, revenue generation, and operational risk management.

- HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, home improvement, or other home-services industries.
- Installation management, equipment procurement, and technician or contractor coordination.
- Consumer financing platforms, payment collection, and funding administration.
