- Inspect all safety features and ensure they are functioning on all equipment before operating.
- Assist in setup of Inline Operations which include pulling material, operating separators picking up scrap and assisting operators in anyway possible.
- Quality checks at regular periods during production as per Quality Checks for Production.
- Report any hazards and unsafe conditions to Shift Supervisor/Operator.
- Check size, seals, weight, pkg., print, count and record on Log Report as per Work Instruction Manual. Notify Supervisor/Operator of any variances.
- Packaging of bags to be done in accordance with specifications on Work Order and as neatly as possible.
- Ensure proper number of pouches or bulk bags are placed into specified carton as neatly as possible as per Work Order.
- Ensure the right number of boxes is placed on skid and that they are piled as neatly as per Work Order specifications.
- Ensure carton has proper label and is stamped with proper Date Stamp and Employee ID Number.
- Relieve for breaks.
- Other duties as required by Supervisor.
Skills and Requirements:
- Able to work with minimal supervision and capable of performing Packer’s duties after training.
- Manual dexterity and familiar with hazards of production equipment that is in motion.
- Attention to detail & willing to multitask.
- Keep pace with standard machine speeds.
- Willing to lift upto 15lbs.
Qualifications:
- Post Secondary Diploma
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work harmoniously with diverse range of people
- Manufacturing industry work experience will be an asset
