MedPlus Pharmacy is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will assist pharmacists with prescription processing, medication preparation, inventory management, and customer service while ensuring safe, accurate, and productive pharmacy operations.

Monday to Saturday (day shifts).

Responsibilities

- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare, package, and label medications for patient distribution.
- Enter prescription orders and patient information into the pharmacy management system.
- Maintain inventory of medications and pharmacy supplies.
- Receive, organize, and stock inventory.
- Answer telephone calls and assist patients and healthcare professionals.
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Assist with medication administration under the supervision of a pharmacist, where applicable.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with pharmacy policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Assist pharmacist in compounding operation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.




- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous community pharmacy or healthcare experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medication names, dosages, and common uses.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent data entry skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Experience with the Kroll pharmacy management system is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with prescription processing, medication distribution, and inventory management.
