The opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Physiotherapy Assistant with a strong exercise background to support our physiotherapists and help patients follow their rehabilitation programs. The right candidate will be confident guiding patients through prescribed exercises, personable and professional, and comfortable working in a busy clinic.

The Physiotherapy Assistant works under the direction and supervision of a physiotherapist. This role does not involve independently assessing patients or creating treatment plans.

Responsibilities

- Guide patients through exercises prescribed by the physiotherapist.
- Demonstrate exercises clearly and help patients use rehabilitation equipment safely.
- Monitor patients during exercise and report concerns or changes to the physiotherapist.
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment before appointments.
- Keep treatment spaces clean, organized and ready for patients.
- Follow clinic procedures for patient privacy,



safety and documentation.
- Communicate professionally with patients and the clinic team.
- Assist with day-to-day clinic tasks as needed.

Qualifications and experience

- Previous experience as a Physiotherapy Assistant or in a physiotherapy, rehabilitation or exercise-based setting is required.
- A strong exercise, fitness or sports background, with confidence demonstrating and guiding exercises.
- Physiotherapy Assistant diploma or relevant training is preferred.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, professional and compassionate approach.
- Reliable, organized and able to work well as part of a team.
- Comfortable assisting patients with exercise and mobility activities.
