Portugalos Restaurant is a well-established Portuguese restaurant in Gatineau, known for authentic cuisine — grilled meats and seafood, cataplana, bacalhau — and warm hospitality. We are looking for a reliable Prep Cook / Line Cook to join our small kitchen team.

Responsibilities

- Prepare ingredients: washing, chopping, portioning and marinating meats, seafood and vegetables
- Work the line during service according to recipes and house standards
- Keep your station stocked, clean and organised
- Follow food safety and hygiene rules at all times
- Help with deliveries, storage, and closing duties

Requirements
- Experience as a prep cook, line cook, or in a skilled kitchen
- Available full-time,



including evenings and weekends (detailed schedule to be discussed)
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable in a fast-paced service
- Able to commute to Gatineau
- MAPAQ food handler certification is an asset
- English or French; bilingualism is an asset

We offer
- Salary: $19 to $24 per hour, depending on experience
