Title : Principal Software Development Engineer - AI

Location : Remote - able to start 9am EST time

Duration : Permanent - Direct hire

Requirements

- At least 18 months of recent, continuous experience personally building, shipping, and supporting active customer-facing AI products in production.
- Strong product taste, with a record of turning emerging AI capabilities into practical, trustworthy experiences that customers understand and choose to use.
- Significant software engineering experience with Staff-level scope or equivalent, plus a clear desire to remain deeply involved in coding and delivery.
- Experience owning the full lifecycle of AI products, from customer problem and prototype through evaluation, launch, production operations, and iteration.




- Strong distributed-systems and full-stack architecture experience across modern front ends and Python back ends; .NET/C# experience is helpful but not required.
- Practical knowledge of Clean Architecture and the judgment to turn ambiguous problems into maintainable production systems.
- Fluency in the modern AI platform landscape, including model selection, agent orchestration, MCP and inter-agent interoperability, eval-gated delivery, observability, and vector-enabled persistence.
- Strong product, security, and business judgment, with the ability to make and communicate decisions using customer value, quality, cost, latency, control, risk, and optionality.
