Lead Waste-to-Energy engineering at WSP, applying thermal conversion, process integration, and project delivery expertise across complex energy recovery projects.As a Principal Engineer, you will advise clients and provide technical leadership throughout feasibility, technology selection, design, construction, commissioning, and operations. The position supports WSP’s Energy, Resources and Industrial team across municipal, industrial, agricultural, biomass, and organic waste solutions. Your work will address process design, equipment evaluation, environmental compliance, and facility optimization.Key Responsibilities:

Lead Waste-to-Energy projects from feasibility through operationsReview mass balances, flow diagrams, and system integrationSelect thermal, biological,



and advanced conversion technologiesEvaluate boilers, turbines, digesters, and emissions systemsMentor multidisciplinary teams and support commissioningRequirements:

15+ years in engineering, operations, consulting, or project delivery10+ years in Waste-to-Energy or heavy thermal facilitiesDeep knowledge of thermal and biological conversion technologiesExperience with process simulation and thermal modelling toolsAbility to lead multidisciplinary engineering and client relationshipsBring Waste-to-Energy leadership, process engineering expertise, and technical judgment to WSP’s energy recovery projects.
