Production Assistant | The Fritter Shop

London, Ontario | Part Time (Minimum 15 hours per week)

Opportunity to be part of a leading Dutch-style specialty pastry company! The Fritter Shop has been making sweet and savoury fritters from scratch since 2016, using family recipes from our bakery in Amsterdam. Our London facility is SQF certified and supplies our retail, franchise, and wholesale partners. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Production Assistant to support our production team.

What You Will Do

- Assist with preparing sweet and savoury fritters from scratch
- Help with dough preparation and mixing
- Package finished products for retail, franchise, and wholesale orders
- Wash dishes, utensils, and production equipment
- Clean and sanitize the production space following established cleaning procedures
- Follow all SQF food safety and quality protocols, including documentation and recordkeeping
- Ensure every product meets our quality standards before it leaves the facility
- Store raw materials and finished products properly at optimum conditions
- Support accurate inventory of raw materials and finished products
- Wear appropriate sanitary and protective gear at all times

What We Are Looking For

- Valid Food Handler Certificate
- Experience working in the food industry
- Strong work ethic, high energy, and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions well and abide by safety and food safety guidelines
- Ability to lift up to 20 kg consistently and stand for extended periods
- Reliable attendance and commitment to the schedule
- Post-secondary food and beverage education or SQF/HACCP experience is an asset but not required
- Ability to travel between our London and St. Thomas locations is an asset but not required

Hours

- Weekdays, daytime production hours
- Minimum of 15 hours per week
- Additional hours available
