Bellamore Beauty is one of Calgary's leading on-location wedding beauty teams, and we're growing! We're looking for a talented, experienced, and dependable freelance makeup artist to join our team for the upcoming 2027 wedding season.

We are a close knit group of artists who genuinely love what we do. We are passionate about helping our clients feel confident, beautiful, and completely taken care of one of the most exciting and meaningful days of their lives.

We believe in professionalism, teamwork, and creating a fun, positive atmosphere where both our clients and artists enjoy the experience.

This is a part-time freelance opportunity, typically offering a few bookings per week during peak wedding season. Our busiest months are June through September, with additional wedding and special event opportunities available throughout the year.

Availability & Commitment (Essential Requirement)

Saturday availability during the peak wedding season (June through September) is critical for this position.

Successful candidates must

- Be available for most Saturdays from June through the end of September. ( min of 2)
- Be able to commit to confirmed wedding bookings well in advance.
- Be comfortable with early morning start times and wedding-day timelines.
- Be available for on-location bookings in Calgary
- Be available for out of town bookings around Calgary (Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise)
- Have reliable transportation and be able to travel independently with a professional makeup kit.
- Be dependable and committed to honouring all confirmed bookings.

Please note: This is a freelance position with no guaranteed weekly hours. It is best suited to someone looking for part-time work with flexibility outside of confirmed bookings.

Responsibilities





- Create beautiful, polished, and long-lasting bridal and special event makeup.
- Confidently execute a variety of makeup styles, from soft natural glam to full bridal glam.
- Work with different skin types, tones, and ages while customizing looks to suit each client.
- Provide a calm, friendly, and qualified presence on wedding mornings.
- Make clients feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful throughout their appointment.
- Arrive fully prepared, organized, and on time for every booking.
- Work independently while collaborating seamlessly with hairstylists and other beauty professionals.
- Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and kit organization.
- Represent Bellamore Beauty positively at every event.

Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who:

- Has at least 1-2 years of professional makeup artistry experience.
- Has experience with bridal or special event makeup (preferred, but not required).
- Has a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of makeup looks.
- Is confident working with different skin types, tones, and ages.
- Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in delivering beautiful results.
- Is friendly, approachable, and comfortable working closely with clients.
- Is organized, punctual, reliable, and professional.
- Enjoys working as part of a team and contributes positively to the overall experience.
- Is looking for a freelance opportunity with an established wedding beauty company.
