Our new and enhanced Registered Nurse staffing model ensures a partnered care approach with two Registered Nurses on every shift in our 128-bed home. This model, in conjunction with our goal of two Registered Practical Nurses in each 32-bed resident home area, as well as a full complement of Personal Support Workers and Behaviour Support Care Assistants, offers a supportive team environment and an optimum level of resident care hours per day. In our home, the Registered Nurses plan, supervise and oversee direct nursing care for residents in accordance with their plans of care and established policies and procedures. They are responsible for the day-to-day operation of the resident neighborhoods, provide overall supervision and serve as the most senior management representative of the home outside of regular business hours.
The Registered
Nurses participate as part of a dynamic interprofessional team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registered Nurse Degree/Diploma
- Current CPR Certification
- Current registration in valuable standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- French Language Service Designation: Bilingualism, English and French, is required.
