Construction LP commenced operations in 2019 to serve the Energy and Mining industries throughout North America. Since inception, KCLP has grown sustainably and exponentially, starting with 30 experienced team members in 2019, to now over 400 team members and over 300 pieces of heavy equipment.We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Supervisor to supervise our HET’s, apprentice HET’s, and preventative maintenance technicians across various AB oilsands sites North of Fort McMurray (Base Mine, Fort Hills, Syncrude MLX). We will consider either a subcontractor or a direct hire to come on the payroll.

The ideal candidate is a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician with robust technical skills. He/she is a self-described “master mechanic” who enjoys rolling up their sleeves to mentor, train and lead our heavy-duty mechanics, apprentices and preventative maintenance technicians. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience working on equipment involved in mining and oil sands operations.Fort Hills, Syncrude Mildred Lake and Suncor Base Mine, Fort McMurray,



AB.Travel is required in various weather conditions and on site in the mine (very rough terrain).Subcontractors will come on at a flat hourly rate that will be negotiated based on experience.If on the payroll…Hourly wage is negotiable based on experience with OT at 1.5 x the regular rate (bi-weekly pay).6% Vacation and Statutory Holiday pay on all regular hours.Extended health, dental, vision, travel and paramedical coverage after 90 days.LTD, AD&D;, life insurance and dependent life insurance after 90 days.$500/year health care spending account.Employee Assistance and virtual health programs.On-site use of company truck.Provide training, mentorship and leadership to heavy duty mechanics and fuel and lube technicians.Review sub-contractor hours and billing.Laise with the shop and maintenance coordinator to ensure site has consumables and equipment they need.Assist crews with troubleshooting and repairing various types of Heavy Equipment.Complete detailed service and repair reports at the end of each shift.FLHAs, timesheets, pre-and-post inspections of all tools and equipment, etc.Report incidents, near misses, equipment damage, and hazards to Supervisors immediately.Positively participate in all toolbox talks and all applicable company/site meetings.Education/Qualifications/Training 10+ years working in a similar role preferrable in a mine setting.Must be proficient in English, both verbally and written.Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a good driver's abstract.Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.Experience using B2W software would be considered an asset.Experience using Microsoft Suite of Products required e.G. excel, outlook, calendar,Soft Skills Able to organize and plan tasks with minimal supervision and able to adapt to changing priorities quickly.
