Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team in providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will handle transactions accurately, maintain sanitation standards, and contribute to a positive dining experience for all guests. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn.

This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, POS systems, and customer service while working in a dynamic team setting.

Duties

- Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders in a courteous manner
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for processing transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and responsibility
- Assist with food preparation and food handling tasks as needed to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the cashier station and surrounding areas according to health regulations
- Ensure proper food safety practices are followed during all stages of service
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimize wait times and improve customer satisfaction




- Support the serving staff when necessary by assisting with order delivery or other duties

Skills

- Robust customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is highly desirable
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform food preparation tasks when required
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $16.00 per hour
