GreenTee Richmond Golf Centre is a premium indoor golf and lifestyle destination in Richmond, BC, featuring exclusive membership services, VIP private suites, and upscale dining experiences.
Our facility is home to Crystal Jade Palace, a premium Chinese dining concept under the internationally recognized Crystal Jade Group.
We are currently seeking friendly, professional, and customer-focused Restaurant Hosts to join our opening Food & Beverage team.
As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a welcoming first impression and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience from arrival to departure.
The ideal candidate is personable, organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
Previous experience in restaurants, hotels, or guest reception is preferred. Experience in upscale dining, fine dining, or VIP hospitality is an asset, but not required.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression.
- Manage restaurant reservations, walk-in guests, and seating arrangements.
- Coordinate table availability and seating rotations to ensure smooth dining room operations.
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to reservation inquiries professionally.
- Maintain accurate guest reservations, special requests, and seating preferences.
- Communicate effectively with servers, management, and other front-of-house team members.
- Assist with managing waitlists and provide guests with accurate estimated waiting times.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus when required.
- Assist with VIP guest arrivals, special occasions, and private dining reservations.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests,
and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
- Support daily opening and closing procedures.
- Follow restaurant service standards to ensure a consistent and exceptional guest experience.
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Restaurant Host, Receptionist, or in a customer-facing hospitality role is preferred.
- Experience in hotels, Western-style restaurants, upscale dining, or fine dining is an asset, but not required.
- Strong customer service skills and a genuine passion for hospitality.
- English proficiency is required. Must be able to communicate clearly, confidently, and professionally with guests in English.
- Chinese language skills are an asset, but not required.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, welcoming, professional, and approachable personality.
- Robust organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during busy service periods.
- Comfortable answering phone calls, managing reservations, and handling guest inquiries.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with restaurant reservation systems are an asset.
- Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
