About The Company
Resourgenix Ltd. supports technology initiatives across the capital markets industry, connecting experienced professionals with opportunities to build and maintain systems used in trading and risk management. For this opportunity, you will contribute to a Capital Markets Technology organisation and work with business and technology teams responsible for Murex MX.3 solutions. The role is fully remote and may be performed offshore or from Canada, with working hours aligned to the Eastern Time Zone and Recent York business hours.
About The Role
Resourgenix Ltd. is seeking an experienced Murex MX.3 Market Risk Developer or Technical Consultant to develop, configure, enhance and support Murex solutions. This position combines hands-on platform expertise with a practical understanding of capital markets products and Market Risk processes. You will collaborate with Market Risk, Front Office, Quantitative, Business Analysis and Technology teams to translate business requirements into reliable, maintainable platform capabilities.
The successful candidate will understand how Market Risk requirements are represented in Murex and will be comfortable supporting risk calculations, data flows and reporting. This is a development and technical consulting role rather than a quantitative model development position. You will also contribute to testing, implementation and production support in a geographically distributed environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should have approximately 3–5 or more years of hands-on Murex MX.3 development and configuration experience, along with approximately 5–10 or more years of experience in Capital Markets technology.
Relevant experience may include Murex Market Risk or Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), DataMart, reporting, workflows, interfaces, trade processing and batch processing. Direct experience with Murex Market Risk or ERM is particularly advantageous.
You should be able to engage effectively with Risk Managers, Quants and business stakeholders, and have exposure to one or more asset classes, such as Fixed Income, Interest Rate Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, Credit, Equities or Money Markets. Familiarity with VaR, Expected Shortfall, Stress Testing, Greeks, DV01/PV01, P&L; Explain, scenario analysis and FRTB is important.
Technical skills should include SQL and relational databases such as Oracle; Unix or Linux and shell scripting; and Python and/or Java. Experience with XML or JSON, REST APIs, system interfaces and integration technologies is also valuable. Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, DevOps practices, batch scheduling and enterprise schedulers will support success in the role. Candidates must be comfortable working New York business hours.
Responsibilities
Design, develop and configure solutions within the Murex MX.3 platform. Enhance and maintain workflows, interfaces, reports, batch processes and data extracts, ensuring they support operational and risk management needs.
Support Market Risk functionality, including risk calculations, aggregation, sensitivities, limits and reporting, and contribute to solutions involving VaR, Expected Shortfall, Stress Testing, Greeks, P&L; Explain and FRTB.
Develop and support integrations between Murex and trading systems, market data platforms, risk systems and data warehouses. Investigate production incidents, conduct root-cause analysis and implement sustainable fixes. Work with stakeholders to clarify requirements, assess technical options and communicate progress.
Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, releases and production implementations, following established development and change processes.
Benefits
Work fully remotely from offshore or Canada while collaborating with capital markets professionals across business and technology teams. The position offers the opportunity to apply and deepen your Murex MX.3 and Market Risk expertise on solutions that support trading and risk management. You will contribute across development, integration, testing and production support, gaining broad exposure to platform capabilities and real-world operational needs.
Specific employment benefits and arrangements can be discussed during the recruitment process.
Equal Opportunity
Resourgenix Ltd. is committed to fair and respectful hiring. Applicants will be considered based on relevant qualifications, experience and role requirements. We welcome candidates with varied backgrounds and encourage qualified professionals to apply.
