Finance & Sales Apprenticeship
Learn the Business. Earn While You Learn. Build a Career.
Location: Yellowhead Recreation
Department: Finance & Sales Operations
Reports to: Senior Finance Manager, One Path Group
Who We Are
One Path Group is the parent company of First Nations Powersports and Yellowhead Recreation. We operate at the intersection of finance, sales execution, and community impact, serving remote and Indigenous communities across Canada with access to vehicles, recreation, and financial opportunity.
Our Finance team is not back-office. It is a revenue-protecting, risk-managing, deal-enabling engine that works hand-in-hand with Sales to ensure every transaction is compliant, fundable, and profitable.
We are hiring a Finance and Sales Apprentice to train directly under senior finance leadership. This is a paid, structured apprenticeship designed to develop future Finance Managers and Funding Specialists, not observers.
Why This Role Exists
This apprenticeship is built for someone who wants to understand how sales, credit, compliance, and funding truly work together.
You will learn how deals move from first client conversation to funded, delivered, and reconciled. You will see how lenders think, how risk is mitigated, how sales performance impacts funding outcomes, and how strong finance teams protect the entire organization.
This is hands-on training in real lender environments, with real accountability and real career upside.
What You Will Learn
- How prime and non-prime automotive and powersports financing works in Canada
- How to structure clean, compliant lender submissions with institutions such as Desjardins, FinanceIt, Santander, and LendCare
- How Sales behavior, documentation quality, and deal structure affect approval and funding speed
- How to build audit-ready files that withstand lender and regulatory scrutiny
- How post-sale funding, KYC, insurance verification, and reconciliation protect cash flow
- How to read deal flow data and reporting to identify risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily finance and funding operations under the guidance of a Senior Finance Manager
- Assist with accounts payable, receivable, and transaction-level bookkeeping across multiple entities
- Prepare and organize client documentation including ID, proof of income, insurance, and lender stipulations
- Assist with lender submissions, funding audits, and reconciliation processes
- Coordinate with Sales, Logistics, and Operations to ensure funded deals move smoothly to delivery
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with reporting, tracking, and analysis
- Participate in finance and sales performance reviews to understand deal quality and outcomes
- Learn and support system workflows in HubSpot, Dealertrack, and Google Workspace
Who This Is For
- Someone currently studying or recently graduated in Finance or Business or simply someone with real world hustle and drive.
- Someone who wants a career in finance, funding, or sales operations, not a temporary role
- Highly detail-oriented, structured, and accountable
- Comfortable working with numbers, documentation, and systems
- Strong communicator who can work across Sales and Finance teams
- Coachable, driven, and motivated by long-term growth
What You Gain
- Direct mentorship from senior finance leadership
- Paid, real-world training in lender-facing finance operations
- Exposure to sales-driven funding environments and multi-lender systems
- A clear development path toward Finance Manager, Funding Specialist, or Operations leadership roles
- Experience that translates across automotive, powersports, and financial services industries
- A performance-driven culture that rewards accuracy, ownership, and results
The Opportunity This apprenticeship is designed to build professionals who understand the full lifecycle of a deal, from sales conversation to funded transaction.
If you want to earn while you learn, develop bank-level finance skills, and build a serious career inside a growing national organization, this role was built for you.
