Activities and responsibilities of the Director of Sales:

The Director of Sales, reporting to the President.

Activities and responsibilities of the Director of Sales include:

- Develop and execute the region's sales strategy by identifying market opportunities, target verticals, acquisition targets, and business development initiatives to meet or exceed growth objectives.
- Ensure CRM compliance, pipeline accuracy, forecasting discipline, and consistent execution of sales processes, account management practices, and business development activities throughout the region.
- Build, develop, and manage a high-performing sales organization through effective recruiting, coaching, performance management,



and day-to-day leadership.
- Manage and maintain an accurate business development pipeline and sales forecast.
- Maintain executive-level relationships with strategic customers and key supplier partners.
- Establish pricing strategies and discount controls
- Monitor gross margin performance and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with Operations, Purchasing, Inventory Management, Finance, and Executive Leadership to support company objectives and customer requirements.
- Develop and manage the regional sales budget, including travel, training, and business development expenditures.
- Meet or exceed annual budgeted sales revenue and margin dollar performance
- Ensure Strategic Business Reviews are completed for all strategic accounts in the region.
- Analyze sales trends and external market influences to aid in decision making.
- Visit customers to protect existing business.
- Other duties as assigned.

Professional Experience Requirements:

Education

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Work Experience:

- Minimum of 10 years of sales experience with at least 5 in leadership and team development.
- Strategic planning and execution capabilities
- Financial and business acumen
- Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Strong analytical and forecasting abilities
- Ability to influence and lead organizational change
- Executive-level presentation and communication skills
- Experience with fasteners and fasteners VMI programs preferred
- Experience using Microsoft Office suite of products at an intermediate level

Professional Skills:

- Ability to effectively interact at all levels of customer, supplier, and company organizations
- Strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
