Schedule: 1900-0700, 4 on - 4 off rotation

The Pincher Creek Health Centre provides critical medical services and compassionate care to the local community. It is a dynamic healthcare environment where patients, visitors, and clinical staff rely on a protected, steady, and supportive presence every day.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Security Guard supporting the Pincher Creek Health Centre, you will help maintain a safe and welcoming environment through active observation, conflict resolution, and emergency response. Daily responsibilities include:

- Conduct Active Patrols: Complete thorough interior and exterior foot patrols across facility grounds, walking up to 18 to 20 kilometers and climbing multiple flights of stairs per shift.
- Assist Patients and Visitors: Provide clear directions, manage lost-and-found items, deliver helpful customer service, and support healthcare staff with daily security needs.
- De-escalate Conflict: Use calm, verbal communication to resolve tense situations, reassure distressed individuals, and enforce site policies safely.
- Respond to Emergencies: Quickly respond to security alarms, medical alerts, and critical incidents. Provide basic first aid when required and coordinate effectively with police, fire, and paramedic services.
- Maintain Accurate Logs: Write clear, objective incident reports and record shift activities using digital reporting tools and two-way radios.

Must Haves





- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
- A valid Alberta Security License, or the ability to obtain one prior to employment.
- Physical capability to walk 18 to 20 kilometers and climb stairs regularly throughout a shift.
- Ability to work a shift rotation that includes day and overnight shifts.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to remain composed, exercise good judgment, and act decisively during emergencies with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-Haves

- Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification.
- Prior experience in security, customer service, or healthcare settings.
- Valid driver's license and reliable access to transportation.
