Overview

As a dog groomer, you’ll provide attentive grooming care and a welcoming experience for dogs and their owners. This hands-on role suits someone who enjoys working with animals, communicates courteously with customers, and can manage physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

- Groom dogs with care, keeping their comfort and safety in mind throughout each appointment.
- Speak with customers to understand their requests and share clear updates about the grooming process.
- Prepare and maintain a clean, organized grooming area and handle equipment carefully.
- Lift and position dogs as needed, using safe handling practices and seeking assistance when appropriate.

Qualifications

Required: Customer service skills, patience,



and the ability to handle heavy lifting are important for supporting customers and completing hands-on grooming duties. Careful animal handling, explicit communication, and attention to cleanliness help create a safe, comfortable experience. Preferred: Previous dog grooming or animal-care experience is helpful, along with a calm, considerate approach to working with dogs of different temperaments.

Pay: $18.25-$40.00 per hour
