Our Client is a well known Accounting firm in Oakville seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their firm for a 12+ Month contract . The role is full time in the office located in Oakville. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional client service, solving complex financial challenges, and building trusted relationships with clients.

Reporting directly to the Partners, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing client engagements, preparing financial statements and tax returns, supporting assurance engagements, and mentoring junior team members.

Prepare Compilation

Engagement financial statements, including year-end working papers, adjusting journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation. Conduct and support audit and review engagements through risk assessments, analytical procedures, substantive testing, file documentation, and client inquiries. Prepare and review corporate, charity, estate, and personal income tax returns, ensuring compliance with current tax legislation.

Provide strategic financial, accounting, and tax advice to clients. Stay current on evolving accounting, assurance,



and taxation standards and apply changes effectively within client engagements. Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and quality.

Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and the overall client experience. Canadian CPA designation required. ~ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ~3 + years of public accounting experience preferred. ~ Experience working at a medium-sized public accounting firm ~ Experience in public accounting with solid exposure to compilation, review, audit, and tax engagements. ~ Solid knowledge of Canadian accounting, assurance, and taxation standards. ~ Experience preparing corporate, personal, estate, and charity tax returns. ~ Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. ~ Accommodations are available upon request for candidates participating in all stages of the recruitment process, in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
