Senior Civil Engineer expertise meets construction quality leadership at Suncor’s Firebag site in Fort McMurray, on an 8x6 dayshift rotation.

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting a Senior Civil Engineer for a 12-month Oil and Gas contract. The position supports construction activities through field technical responses, quality reviews, inspections, and project turnover. You will work with contractors, vendors, project teams, and the Engineer of Record.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in FLHA, CCA, and contractor safety meetings

Respond to field inquiries and technical construction issues

Review shop drawings, work packages, and QA documents

Conduct inspections, audits, surveillance, and construction walkdowns





Verify redlines and final turnover package completeness

Requirements

Alberta-registered P.Eng. able to authenticate skilled work products

Familiarity with Alberta and National Building Codes

Experience reviewing FCN, DCN, and NCR closeout

Ability to coordinate contractors and resolve construction concerns

Participation in mechanical completion and care transfer processes

Apply civil engineering, construction quality, and field coordination expertise across Suncor’s Firebag project delivery and turnover activities.
