Spellbook is the most comprehensive AI copilot for transactional lawyers. It works directly inside Microsoft Word to help legal teams draft, review, and negotiate contracts up to 10x faster and with greater precision. Today, more than 4,000 law firms, in-house teams, and solo practitioners rely on Spellbook to simplify their workflows and eliminate the drudgery of everyday contract work.

We are backed by leading investors including Khosla Ventures, Thomson Reuters Ventures, Inovia Capital, The LegalTech Fund, Bling Capital, and Moxxie Ventures. ABOUT THE ROLEWe are hiring a Senior Content Writer & Editor to lead the writing and execution of our most important editorial projects. Working closely with our Content Lead and subject-matter experts across the company, you'll own the ideation, research, writing, and promotional copy behind our flagship reports, guides, essays, and video scripts.

This is a hands-on creative and editorial role focused on depth and quality. It's for someone who wants to create great work and is up for the challenge of writing for a smart, skeptical audience. Research, write, and edit content across formats, including data-backed industry reports (like our State of Contracts report), guides, lead magnets, essays, articles, and video scripts.

Ideation & Publishing Cadence: Plan and manage a publishing calendar across reports, guides, and articles, balancing timely commentary on legal AI news with deeper, research-led projects. Use data to see what resonates and adjust direction as we learn what works. Treat packaging and distribution as part of the writing process, making sure every piece has a strong hook and angle.

Write the surrounding campaign copy for your projects, including marketing emails, social posts, and landing page copy. You know the difference between clean, generic prose and writing that holds a reader's attention, and you hold every piece to that higher standard. You understand lawyers and the day-to-day of legal work,

allowing you to spot the nuances, pain points, and insights that resonate with legal teams.

You have experience in B2B SaaS content, journalism, or copywriting, and can point to published work that drove engagement. You are adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, data-driven environment where priorities can shift as we test ideas and follow what works. You can own projects end-to-end, from initial research to drafting to writing the campaign copy to launch it.

Direct experience in transactional or corporate law, with knowledge of contract drafting, redlining, and commercial legal work. You enjoy working across different formats, projects, and tools. Embrace autonomy and accountability in a flexible work workplace; Disconnect during our holiday closure and take advantage of our generous time off policies throughout the year Enjoy monthly paid meals, an annual wellness allowance to support your well-being and parental leave top-ups as your family grows We do not discriminate based on gender, race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, disability, gender identity/expression, sexual orientation, veteran or military status, or any other protected category.

Use of Artificial Intelligence in RecruitmentSpellbook uses artificial intelligence (AI) responsibly to support administrative and efficiency-focused aspects of our recruitment process. This includes activities such as drafting job descriptions, generating interview questions, note-taking and recordings, and supporting sourcing and scheduling workflows. While AI tools may assist with screening and assessment, they do not replace human judgment in selection decisions.

Our use of AI is intended to streamline routine tasks, improve consistency, and enhance the overall candidate experience.
