The Registered Nurse, Operating Room delivers care within established standards and administrative procedures. This position gathers patient information, coordinates interventions, operates related equipment, and collaborates with medical and interprofessional teams. Education and mentorship responsibilities may also be included.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collect patient information through observation and physical assessment
- Obtain, check, position, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
- Advocate for patient autonomy, respect, privacy, and dignity




- Maintain safe environments through emergency and safety procedures
- Orient and educate nursing staff and students as appropriate

Requirements:

- Approved nursing education and current BCCNM registration
- One year of recent relevant clinical nursing experience
- Applicable postgraduate coursework or clinical certification
- Ability to communicate verbally, in writing, and electronically
- Ability to collaborate across interprofessional care teams
