Support technology delivery at Aviva Canada as a Scrum Master, combining Scrum expertise, insurance experience, and robust stakeholder communication.
This Scrum Master works with software or technology delivery teams inside a complex organization. You will reinforce Scrum accountabilities, guide Product Owners, manage delivery risks, and align work with Aviva Agile standards and the Aviva Change Framework. Insurance industry experience is required, while Guidewire experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach teams and Product Owners on Scrum and backlog management
- Maintain risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and escalations
- Promote collaboration across technical partners and dependent teams
- Support governance, compliance, and change-control expectations
- Turn retrospective insights into owned improvement actions
Requirements:
- Scrum Master certification such as PSM or CSM
- Experience delivering within the insurance industry
- Knowledge of dependency management and continuous improvement
- Strong facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to influence stakeholders without formal authority
