The Psychogeriatric Resource Consultant serves the Nipissing/Temiskaming hub within the North East Behavioural Supports Ontario Team. This consultant supports staff caring for older adults affected by neurocognitive, mental health, substance use, or neurological conditions. Reporting to the Regional Manager, the role contributes to progressive quality improvement and integrated care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead capacity enhancement within long-term care and healthcare settings
- Apply the BSO knowledge-to-practice framework
- Facilitate education, coaching, mentorship, and change management
- Coordinate consultations with physicians, psychiatrists,



and clinical partners
- Support development and spread of quality improvement practices

Requirements:

- Recognized healthcare profession bachelor’s degree required
- Relevant geriatric mental health certification considered an asset
- BSO competency experience involving personhood and responsive behaviours
- Applied research and adult learning experience required
- Advanced Microsoft Office, webinar, OTN, and technology skills required
