Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Payments Technical Lead / Consultant to support a large-scale payment modernization initiative involving migration to the Adyen payment platform .

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with payment gateways, payment processor integrations, fraud prevention, payment security, and end-to-end payment lifecycle management. The candidate should have experience leading or supporting payment processor migrations, with a strong understanding of payment architecture, integrations, reconciliation, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and support payment platform modernization and migration to Adyen.
- Manage payment gateway integrations and payment processor configurations.
- Work on payment authorization, capture, refunds, recurring payments, chargebacks, and dispute management.
- Implement and manage 3DS/3DS2 authentication, fraud prevention, velocity controls, and card-testing prevention.
- Configure and manage Adyen RevenueProtect, BIN blocking, and fraud detection controls.
- Support tokenization, network tokens, and secure card payment processing.
- Design and support REST API, webhook, and SFTP-based integrations.
- Manage Merchant IDs (MID), Terminal IDs (TID), settlement, reconciliation, and payment reporting.
- Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, authentication standards, 2FA, SSO, and security audit requirements.
- Collaborate with Treasury, Finance, Fraud, Security, and business stakeholders.




- Troubleshoot payment processing issues and ensure smooth transaction flows.
- Support payment migration activities, testing, validation, and production implementation.

Required Technical Skills
- 8+ years of overall IT experience, with strong experience in payment platforms and integrations.
- Hands-on experience with Adyen or similar payment gateways/payment processors .
- Strong understanding of payment processing architecture and the complete card payment lifecycle.
- Experience with 3DS/3DS2, fraud prevention, velocity controls, BIN blocking, and card-testing controls.
- Knowledge of Adyen RevenueProtect or similar fraud prevention solutions.
- Experience with tokenization and network tokenization.
- Robust understanding of authorization, capture, refunds, recurring payments, chargebacks, and disputes.
- Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, SFTP, and payment system integrations.
- Knowledge of settlement, reconciliation, MID/TID management, and payment reporting.
- Understanding of PCI DSS, 2FA, SSO/Okta, and security audit controls.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Moneris-to-Adyen migration or similar payment processor migration projects.
- Previous experience in large-scale payment modernization initiatives.
- Telecom industry or telecom payment platform experience.
- Experience coordinating with Finance, Treasury, Fraud, Security, and technical teams.

Ideal Candidate Profile We are looking for a senior-level Payments Technical Lead who has practical experience working with payment gateways and processors, particularly Adyen. The candidate should understand the complete payment ecosystem, including fraud controls, 3DS authentication, tokenization, settlement, reconciliation, APIs, and payment security.
